So as it turns out in the meeting today (5-23-14) there's a ton of interest in a modded minecraft server. Tucker has volunteered to put together a custom mod pack for us to use privately and to cater to OUR interests instead of an FTB pack. Tucker needs a list of all the mods we're interested in having, so in this thread submit all of you mod ideas IN THIS FORMAT:

Reason for suggestion:
Tucker will go through one by one and see if its possible to get it all in the pack together. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. Not gonna remove 19 other mods so you can have your precious Pokécraft or whatever.

Quick Note:
WE ALL would prefer that people recommend well thought out, feature-rich mods. Not some dorky mod that adds in like one mob and people will play with for five minutes. The mods we want the most are some of the more complex mods, which hopefully work well with other mods.

EXAMPLE (That I would Like) MOD NAME: Tinker's Construct Link to forum page
 What/Why: This mod adds a much more in-depth way to create tools in-game. It is easy to start early-game, and lasts even during the lategame. Tons of interesting combo and new weapon/tool types. Incredibly easy to learn (Newly spawned players get a tutorial book by default) while remaining compatible with advanced users. |

This mod has incompatibilities with almost any other mod; it changes how players act, which shouldn't happen because other mods will break. Food: There are better things to do in Minecraft than eat cheeseburgers or whatever. We are looking for mods that are usefull. Smart moving causes too many problems so no. Theres plenty of food options in the game already, i think we're covered. |

OK GUYS-
I've been working on compiling the necessary files and mods, and the pack has room for 5-10 more *large* mods.
Try to get more or less complex mods suggested.

UPDATE:
Okay. Out of the 20 content mods currently in the pack, I've managed to put together and run/join succesfully a server. If we get more mods recomended I can add them in.
Window client configs are set in stone. Mac is coming soon.

When exactly will IC2 be added? Probably the next time that I get to my dad's. I want to have ample time to get things 100% working, but also be able to manage the server stress. This is something I clearly can't do from mom's where I get pulled off the PC every 5 minutes. |
