Confirmed, Openblocks is causing crashes on Windows clients. I can have every mod but that one, Tuckie, peace be upon him, pls fix it because you are smarter than me!
Also Bibliocraft is breaking it for me.

so, disabling those two mods allows you to play?

I can confirm. The client works fine without OpenBlocks, OpenLib, and Bibliocraft running. Would anyone oppose removing them from the pack's update?

Yeah, it's a real shame Bibliocraft couldn't be added in. But at least the updating process should be over soon, at least until a little after 1.8 and all the mods are stable for a modpack 1.7 build. I'm actually really excited to move the pack up to 1.7, though. It MOST DEFINITELY means a map reset, but I'd be able to fix a lot of problems, and make tweaks to improve server stability (lag spikes, anyone?).

Maybe the 1.7 pack will work with those mods. I have no issue removing them from the pack though.
